El Forn de Cas Soper

In the heart of Binissalem, El Forn de Cas Soper has stood as an emblem of the Mallorcan baking tradition since it opened in 1959. Founded by the father of the current owners, the business had humble beginnings when, at eighteen, he started delivering bread by bicycle around the village. A year later, he expanded his activity by distributing sopes for the markets in Palma, establishing a solid foundation for the future of the business.

Today, El Forn de Cas Soper is one of the few bakeries in Mallorca dedicated exclusively to making bread for Mallorcan sopes, an essential ingredient in the island’s traditional cuisine. Their products are vital for preparing this iconic dish, known for its flavor and authenticity.

The founder’s three children, Teresa, Joan, and Rafel Sastre, carry on the family legacy. Since 1985, Teresa has specialized in making sopes, while Joan began producing white and brown bread in 1990. In 2018, Rafel introduced ensaimadas, which quickly became another of the bakery’s specialties.

El Forn de Cas Soper is part of the ‘Pa d’Aquí. Forn i Tradició’ brand, which certifies establishments that preserve the baking tradition of the Balearic Islands. This recognition highlights the bakery’s commitment to the quality and authenticity of its products, making every visit an experience that celebrates the tradition and flavor of Mallorca.
