From patron saint festivities to gastronomic events such as the famous Festa des Vermar, Binissalem transforms into a stage of music, dance, and popular traditions that reflect the authentic character of the town.

Below, we take you on a journey through the main festivals that bring the streets of this charming municipality to life, inviting you to immerse yourself in an unforgettable experience of culture and fun.

Second half of September

Festa des Vermar (Party from Vermar)

Every year, in the month of September, Binissalem dresses up to celebrate the Festa des Vermar, an essential event that pays tribute to the grape harvest and the world of wine—both fundamental elements of the town’s identity. These festivities, full of color and emotion, combine tradition, heritage, music, and gastronomy, and are a living expression of Binissalem’s character.

Throughout the month—and especially during the second half—the town enjoys a full program of activities for all ages, such as the Festa de Sant Gall in Biniagual, a popular celebration that marks the beginning of the most traditional festive calendar.

Highlights include the Heritage Itinerary, which allows visitors to discover Binissalem’s most emblematic landmarks, and Goletart, an artistic event that fills Goleta Street with creativity. One of the most eagerly awaited moments is the Welcome to Sa Vermada, a symbolic act that officially opens the festivities.

Deeply rooted events also take place, such as the Sash Ceremony for the Vermadors and Vermadores and the traditional Festivities Proclamation, as well as the Tribute to the Elderly, honoring the wisdom and living memory of the town.

Gastronomy also plays a key role, with events such as the Fideus de Vermar at Can Arabí or the Sopar a la fresca, where thousands of people gather in the streets to share food, tradition, and a joyful atmosphere.

The Parade of Floats is one of the most anticipated and popular events, with troupes full of humor and creativity filling the streets with laughter, music, and celebration. The festivities culminate on the Sunday of the Festa des Vermar with the Offering of the new must to Santa Maria de Robines, protector of the harvest—a symbolic gesture that connects the town’s winemaking past and present.

Throughout September, Binissalem comes alive with traditional music, concerts, dances, theater, children’s games, workshops, wine tastings, exhibitions, and vibrant street life, offering an authentic, open, and participatory experience for both residents and visitors.
